Sorry this is late. long busy week :)
Monday Mike and I meet with the Pediatric Cardiologist for the first time since we found out about the baby's heart condition, and can I tell you Oh what a few answers will do to a person.
I feel so much better about what is to come when this little gift from God comes to us. We were able to sit down and ask our doctor so many questions like;
Where will the baby have His surgeries? answer being Omaha, that in itself was a relief, we kept hearing Michigan which is along way to be from my first baby.
next question was a concern I have from a previous prenatal appointment when I found out the cardiologist had written an order for a schedualed C-Section, now I'm not usually one to question someones judgement when I feel they should know better and more than me on this, but I felt the need to do so, I didnt have a C-Section with Malachi and if I didnt have to with baby #2 then i didnt want to, I still wanted to have a chance at having him naturally if I could and had heard other that were able to even with babies with this condition. So I asked the Dr. and told him my thoughts and he decided to agree with me and we are now going to go with a schedualed Induction at 38weeks, (as long as he is developmentally good).
We also found out that we will be in Omaha for up to two weeks if things go as expected, and when we get home there were really no restrictions yet, except stay away from the flu, and any respritory infections, as he will already be short of breath. And he will not need to be on a heart monitor, Praise God.
So with all that said, Mike and I were able to walk out of that appointment with peace that things were really going to be ok with our new son.
P.S. We sold our house, bought another one, and now are moving in two weeks. Crazy I know but very exciting too. Please continue to pray for our baby, and for our family as we go through all these transitions is such a short time.
