As the End and the Beginning Near...

Yesterday Mike and I had the oportunity to go to Omaha and meet with several Doctors, see the hospital, visit the nicu, Have more ultra sounds, and get a few more questions answered. Yesterday was a long, good, frustrating and helpful day.
The first appoinment we had was with my doctor who will be delivering our baby, we had and ultra sound done, things look fine, but at 11am the baby was head up, which means, a Schedualed c-section (frustration #1) so i now pray that God will get this baby to flip so that when we go in for the c-section He will be head down and I can still be induced instead. The doctor from first appointment was very nice, it seemed that I was able to be comfortable around him, which is a big thing since he is a male dr. and I am used to Belinda as my dr. but this dr. was very kind, informative, open minded and relaxed (i liked that).
Next we went and had a tour of labor and delivery, which is a nice facility and from there the nurse explained to us what would kind of happen as far as the baby and myself go, and then she passed us off the the charge nurse of the NICU, where we saw pretty much what life will be for us for a good two weeks or so after the baby is out of his surgery. I had a hard time at this point because they told us that the only visitors we would be allowed after baby is in nicu are Mike, the Grandparents and myself, so that means no Malachi...wow do i have a hard time thinking about leaving my little boy behind for that long. I know he will be well taken care of but sometimes its a attitude booster for me to just see is beautiful eyes and smile, so hopefully someone will bring him to me a few times while we are down there. I completely understand the resoning, im not frustrated with that im just sad. There will be an oportunity for our family memebers and others outside of grandparents to see the baby right after the baby is born and right before he goes into nicu and then its complete restriction do to the flu, and h1n1 going around.
Last and finally we were able to meet with the baby's cardiologist, where i had another ultrasound that lasted over an hour (way to long to just by lying there) the doctor confirmed what was diagnosed for the baby and then talked with us about severy possible surgery options, but we will not know which is best for the baby until he his here and they can do further tests when he is born, but we know they will wait a few days after he is born and then do the surgery that will be best for him.
Yesterday was a long day and as we left know that in only two weeks we will be ending the adventure of weekly appointments and many ultrasounds, we will be entering the beginning of a new and long journey as a family of four, and trying to learn how to still Trust that God is in control and is faithful to his promises.

Dear Lord,
I ask of you today to please turn this child of yours, to heal his heart even before the surgeons, and to continue to give us peace as the time draws near. Thank you Lord for you continued Faithfulness, and your promise that you have a plan to not harm us but a plan to prosper. Lord today please give me strength and wisdom.
~Amen~
